Welcome to Happy Art & English

It is with great excitement and sincerity that I welcome you to Happy Art and English, a unique program which aspires to enhance students’ oral English, confidence, creativity, and western social skills, in a high quality recreational setting. Within the HAE Academy we offer a variety of classes suitable for children ages three and over, allowing you to select the instructional medium most appropriate for your child. All classes are staffed by a North American and a Chinese educator, who work in tandem to create an optimal learning environment. Together, the teaching team will possess special qualifications in the fields of childhood development, ESL instruction, arts, athletics and international relations. HAE employees are passionate and talented individuals, well suited to mentor children.

For our youngest participants, the Kinder Speak ESL System is an excellent opportunity to build phonetic awareness as well as learn key words and phrases through song and movement. Completion of Kinder Speak provides a strong foundation for the HAE Social Kid ESL System, which is available for primary school children. Social Kid ESL lessons focus on accent reduction, introduce colloquial language embedded in real world conversations and include plenty of fun social games. These lessons are available only to exceptional students who demonstrate a strong interest in learning to speak English.

Supplementing the Social Kid ESL System is a collection of performing arts classes. HAE students are encouraged to “Aim for All-Around Achievement,” by enrolling in Jazz-Musical Theatre, Tap-Musical Theatre, Hip Hop-Musical Theatre, Drama or Leadership. In these lessons, the emphasis is on physical activity, presentation skills and teamwork. They also reinforce material learned within Social Kid ESL.
